Mera Peak Climbing

14 Days

The 17-day Mera Peak Climbing expedition offers an exhilarating journey through the stunning Khumbu Region, where breathtaking mountains and captivating landscapes await. The adventure closely resembles the Baruntse Expedition route, guiding you through diverse flora, fauna, and picturesque villages before reaching the snow-capped summit of Mera Peak.

Standing tall at 6,476 meters (21,247 feet), Mera Peak is a coveted prize for mountaineering enthusiasts. Located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas, Mera Peak boasts three main summits: Mera North (6,476m), Mera Central (6,461m), and Mera South (6,065m).

Your adventure begins with an exhilarating flight from Kathmandu to Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla—one of the world’s most extreme airports. From Lukla, the trail leads south through the traditional village of Hinku. Along the way, you’ll experience Sherpa culture, ancient Buddhist monasteries, and rugged terrains.

The unspoiled villages and lush pastures are a feast for the senses, with daily sightings of grazing sheep, yaks, and yak herds. The trek continues through dense forests of rhododendron, pine, oak, and juniper, offering a rich tapestry of nature.

The highlight of the expedition arrives at Mera Peak Base Camp, where you’ll prepare for the final ascent. Guided by experienced climbing experts, you’ll acclimatize and make the necessary preparations at High Camp before tackling the summit of Mera Peak.

Reaching the top of Mera Peak rewards you with awe-inspiring views of some of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest (8,848m), Cho-Oyu (8,210m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,481m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Nuptse (7,861m), Chamlang (7,319m), Baruntse (7,129m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), and Kangtega (6,779m).

The ideal times for climbing Mera Peak are during the Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September-November) seasons when the weather conditions are most favorable. However, for those seeking an added challenge, we can also arrange expeditions during the winter months.

In summary, this Mera Peak Climbing adventure is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in the majestic Himalayas. With our expert guidance and top-notch service, we are committed to ensuring that your expedition is as memorable and successful as possible.
